Happy New Moon and partial Solar Eclipse :)

“The cosmos is setting up an evolutionary impulse for us to take responsibility for ourselves, family, children, community, the feminine and most of all, for our Mother, the Earth.
These two nodes in the Cancer/Capricorn polarity are establishing new foundations for how we live here on Earth.
Since Cancer and Capricorn reflect the maturing processes of life, we are certainly in a time when humanity has to consciously evolve to a higher level of self-awareness if humans are going to continue to exist on Earth in a positive way..
Pluto in Capricorn has been unearthing the corruption of our patriarchal society since 2008. But even as the hypocrisy and corruption are exposed, what is no longer viable is still struggling to keep control…
But Pluto is like the lava streaming out of Kilauea. It is unstoppable, pure evolution. It is creating new earth.
We cannot go backwards. It’s the people who go forward who create the future.
Are you an artist, musician, dancer, storyteller? This is your time. It’s time to wrest our people’s imaginations away from mass media programing and get them to wake up their own imaginations.
…Everyone is engaging alone with machines. It’s time to change that.  It’s up to our artists to awaken people out of our collective trance….
As with all New Moons, it’s a time to plant seeds… These are special seeds of creativity and nurturing and emotional intelligence…
Our thoughts create our reality. Our change of heart will be shared on an energetic level, and that will create more power…
We humans are part of Gaia’s ecosystem. We really need to reclaim our place in the life cycle of Earth.
Then we’ll be honoring our Great Mother, our creative center and our cosmic purpose.”

Happy Full Moon!

Full Moon Art

“The June Full Moon falls on the 27-28th in the earth sign of Capricorn. Grounded, stable, and hard working are key words for this Full Moon, and this is exactly what we will need to embrace under its energy.

Capricorn is represented by the mountain goat. If you have ever seen a mountain goat, you would know that it has the ability to climb high and perch itself on precarious rock ledges, all while keeping perfect balance.

This is a good analogy for the energy of Capricorn. It is a reliable and focused-driven sign that is very hard to throw off balance. Capricorn energy is all about staying grounded and rooted in who you are, so you can aim high and reach the top of your very own mountain.

This Full Moon is going to bathe all of us in the strong willed, determined, Capricorn energy so we can find our strength and our determination to keep going. We are going to be reminded of our ability to keep climbing even when life gets tough.

The energy surrounding this Full Moon is heavy, however we are also reminded that we can achieve anything, and we can get through anything. We just need to trust in ourselves, and trust in our ability to succeed.

Everything has a solution and everything has an ending, all we need to do is trust in this and know that the perfect solutions are already being born, we are simply just walking towards them.

No matter what comes up for you around this Full Moon, don’t be despaired or discouraged. Your hardwork will pay off in the long run, so keep motivated and know that the only way out is through.

Once the energy of this Full Moon begins to settle and we head into the Solar Eclipse of July, we are going to feel far more at ease with where we are heading. For now, we just have to trust that all is well.”

Happy New Moon in Gemini!

New Moon china

“The New Moon on Wednesday June 13, 2018 is located at 22° Gemini. The New Moon June 2018 astrology is a good news story. Its uncomplicated by any planetary aspects but heavily influenced by no less than eight fixed stars. This is the busiest part of the sky for major fixed stars and the new moon lands right in the middle of it. In fact, it bisects two of the most fortunate stars in this group that are separated by only 0°20′.

The June 2018 New Moon brings good fortune and lasting happiness. It provides protection for you and your loved ones. A New Moon is a good time to set new goals so this is an especially good new moon to start a new project. The stars in particular give the skills needed to do well in business.

A new moon represents the end of one cycle and the beginning of another new 28 day cycle. Sun conjunct Moon gives an invigorating burst of energy and initiative. So this is an excellent time for making a fresh start, turning over a new leaf, or starting a new project. You can also question old habits, behaviors and beliefs as you search for new and inventive ways to make progress.

The effects of the June 13 New Moon will last four weeks up to the July 12 Solar Eclipse. The best time for making a fresh start and for beginning new projects is during the first two weeks of this new moon cycle. This waxing phase of the Moon lasts from June 13 to the June 28 Full Moon.”

Moon heart art

“The full moon in Sagittarius blooms early in the week, bringing with it yearnings to grow, expand, and optimize our opportunities. Sagittarius loves nothing more than a good quest. This sign believes without a shadow of a doubt that the truth is out there and it has more than enough fire in its belly to inspire us all to seek it out for ourselves.

Square Neptune, this full moon points to both the power of our imagination and the potency of our delusions, projections, and unchecked anxieties. Neptune untethers us from reality, which can be incredibly useful when we need to dream up alternative scenarios to our life circumstances. If we are to dream up a future, a path forward, as Sagittarius would want us to, we are well-served to do so with little restraint and a whole lot of room to grow.

At this point in our history we have enough evidence of what occurs when humans put their heads in the sand, refusing to bear witness to and take action when atrocities take place around us. At this point in our history we know that there is no saving ourselves unless we are as dedicated to each other’s freedom as we are to our own.

If Neptune teaches us anything it is that there is no separation between us. When we know of an evil and do nothing to intercede its ways, we allow harm to happen in all directions. Harm that takes lifetimes to heal.

Even one child separated from their parent creates a grief to big for the world to hold. Even one migration interrupted is too big an opportunity cut short. We each hold such an incredibly important gift to offer the world. Even one of these pearls of potency that doesn’t get to live itself out is a tragedy, and a theft, from all of life.

May this full moon instill within us a faith in each other so great that we remember the power of our combined rally cries and use them. May the light of this lunation be shed upon the care that we have for one another and our dedication to cultivating more of it. May the power of our love always outshine the insidious grasp for power and the pain it inevitably produces.”

Happy New Moon in Taurus!

New Moon - Annie Stegg

“The May 15th New Moon falls in the earth sign of Taurus and is paving the way for some big cosmic shifts and changes.

New Moons are always a time of new beginnings, and this is one of the most potent new beginnings we will be experiencing all year. This is not just due to the New Moon energy, but also because Uranus shifts into Taurus on the same day.

In life, the only guarantee is change, and learning how to accept the changes that come your way is what this New Moon new beginning is all about.

Everything in life has its own start and its own end. Even you. Every day we experience birth and death, every moment we experience the constant flow of change.

Sometimes changes in life can be small and go unnoticed, and other times they can be big and rattle everything we once knew and believed. But this is life. And getting comfortable with change is the most powerful thing you can do.

The best way to navigate through this energy is to practice acceptance and to stay present in the moment.

We are co-creators on this planet, and while we may not have control over everything that comes our way, we do have control over how we feel, think, and act.

Fighting change is never going to work, instead opening to it and trying to accept it as best as you can is always going to lead to a more positive outcome.

Along with bringing changing energy, this New Moon also brings a wave of creativity too.

Whenever change is flowing in your life, it represents a time of heightened creativity, and a time where you can take this new information or new set of life circumstances and create something new.

By focusing on the new instead of fighting for the old, you can open your heart and mind to things that you may have not noticed before and create a new reality for yourself.

Under the May New Moon and Uranus’ move into a new astrological sign, we are all going to be guided to activate and accept change in order to feel secure. We are also going to be able to tap into our creativity in order to open to the new possibilities that change brings.”

Happy New Moon!

New Moon - Rafał Olbiński

“This Aries New Moon is the first new Moon of the astrological year. And it’s a big one!

This is the time to plant the seeds of rebirth and renewal for this coming year, seeds that will take you into your future.

What’s different about this Aries New Moon? It is cradled between the asteroid Eris, Goddess of Discord and the planet Uranus, sky god of freedom, revolution and sudden changes.

Add to this the fact that Mercury ends its retrograde earlier in the day and we can see that a new mind-set, a new perspective is waiting to be born within us, and hopefully within our society.

As you look at the news (ruled by Mercury), for every attempt to turn the clock back on freedom, equality and environmental protections, you can see people rising up everywhere to stand against the regressive pull of old patriarchal thinking.

We are in the ‘hero’s journey’ part of the Uranus/Pluto cycle where we have to overcome obstacles to make sure the new seeds of revolution and evolution planted in the 60s get stronger and spread their roots deeper in our collective consciousness.

More people are waking up to the fact that we have to be citizens rather than consumers, that we have to be stewards of the Earth rather than users, and that democracy demands an awakened citizenry….

As you can see, most of the planets fall in the solar 1st and 10th houses. The first house is our self-identity while the tenth house deals with how we contribute to our society.

That’s the message of this new creation story. As JFK once said, ‘Ask not what your country/world can do for you. Rather, ask what you can do for your country/world.’

With Uranus in its final connection to an Aries New Moon for the next 84 years, plant seeds for the unexpected! Plant seeds for inner revolution and freedom.”

Moon hands

“Want to manifest your dreams?  Having a hard time staying focused? The full moon of March 31 (5:37 am PT) shines a guiding light through the shadows of inner doubt and confusion.  This is the last “blue moon” until October 2020, and a special opportunity to reconnect with true intentions and heart felt desires.

The full moon will be in the area of the sky known as Hasta Nakshatra in Vedic astrology. Symbolized by a hand, this Vedic lunar sign grants the power to manifest your vision and get it into your hands.

Savitur, the “golden handed,” Vedic god of the rising sun, rules over Hasta. All kinds of creative handicrafts (like cooking, drawing and sculpting) and healing practices of hands (likeReiki) are empowered by the light of this full moon.

Keep an open mind, you may find solutions to problems in unexpected ways now. The direct aspect of Mercury retrograde onto this full moon could put a reflective backspin on ideas and plans, as delays and miscommunications are common. Mercury will also be fully combust on April 1, encouraging rerouting and sudden epiphanies.

Take heed, this full moon comes with a tough aspect from willful Mars and critical Saturn that peaks in a planetary war (graha yuddha) from April 1- 3.   Be especially patient and easy on yourself and others, and steer clear of unnecessary complications. Mars and Saturn are like fire and oil, and may ignite feelings of stress, particularly for Sagittarius and those who are in dasha cycles of Saturn or Mars.

On this Hasta full moon, remember that worry and doubt only dim the light of imagination, so don’t get hung up on limitations. Set your intention to hold your dream in your hands and visualize its manifestation now.”

New Moon Art

“This New Moon in Pisces invites us to take a deep breath and exhale everything that keeps us separate from our own connection to the dreamtime, the Wakan, the Great Mystery.

Here is the opening to take the deep dive into the Void – a deeper intelligence permeating all life. Here we are called to surrender our burdens as we are held by the limitless ocean of consciousness. There is a time for being and a time for doing. This is most definitely a time for being…

We are supported to connect with our own inner guidance. So much is being offered for our awakening and healing and many are rising to the occasion.

This Moon’s alignment is Chiron’s parting gift in Pisces as preparation is made to change signs in April into Aries moving out of a feminine, water sign and into the masculine, fire sign Aries for the next 7 years…

Chiron has facilitated the healing of women bringing them into personal wholeness as they reveal the unspoken repression of millennium… The feminine wounds have been awakened and heard in Chiron’s sojourn through Pisces. Reconciliation is powerfully underway.

Now Chiron is ready to bring his healing magic to bear in Aries for our brothers, fathers, lovers and our own inner masculine and to teach us of the healing power of the archetypal masculine’s right use of action, protection and balance.

We can watch the collective events in the news recognizing that the Aries, Mars and masculine energies are on display. Spirit has arranged for an intensification of events to focus our attention on the current masculine power system and how it operates.

With Jupiter in Scorpio retrograde (23º) generously trining the Sun/Moon/Chiron, our path is eased and open to understanding the larger perspective of the transformation we, as a species and a planet, are traversing.

Jupiter in the sign of death and rebirth helps us own our part in the dance reflected to us from the outer world and transform it into an inclusive, cooperative expanded vision.

We are the visionaries we have been waiting for.”

Happy Full Moon!

Moon art by Duy Huynh

“We have entered a time very much like the early 70s, when there were protests and civic disruption…

That’s where the ARTS come in. Pisces is very much connected to Art, for it is the sign not only of spirit but of imagination, which uses the vehicle of the Arts to express itself.

…especially since it was our artists (think John Lennon) and musicians who led the way in the 70s for our cultural revolution. Now we once again need our artists to help change the collective tides.

Art speaks to the heart and so I ask, where are our musicians, our Bards, our artists, our dancers? Where are they telling the story of NOW, of what it means to take a stand at these most dangerous and beautiful times of cultural transformation?

Mercury, Venus and Chiron are conjunct in late Pisces, giving voice to healing visions.

With a strong trine from Jupiter in Scorpio, just before Jupiter turns retrograde on March 8th, we have the ability to dig deep into the soul, facing the wounds of this lifetime and many previous ones.

What better way to express what we discover than through Art? Art is one of the blessings of Pisces.

And as we leave the Piscean Age, we need to take our Artists seriously. And they need to take themselves seriously and tell us the story of our times.

That will begin a great healing of our collective psyche.
It’s time to bring more healthy nourishment into our collective lives, and that begins in our own lives.

Don’t forget that we are all artists, so dance and sing, play music, create art and story and share it with your communities.”

Happy New Moon!

New Moon art by Christian Schloe

“If you have been following along, you may have noticed that January has been an extremely busy month! It really seems that the heavens are putting on a show for us as we welcome in the new vibrations and new energy of the year.

The Capricorn New Moon on the 16-17th is no different, and is definitely going to be dazzling us with a line up of five celestial bodies by its side.

At the time of the New Moon, there will be a line up of the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Pluto all in the sign of Capricorn. This rare alignment is known as a stellium.

The January New Moon energy is really going to help all of us to take a leap forward and to use our hard work, skill and knowledge to climb higher and reach further.

This is very ambitious energy that will really help all of us to move forward in the direction of our highest dreams and wishes.

This is the perfect time to take action in your life and begin making small, practical changes in order to bring more joy, abundance, love, success, and whatever other feel-good emotions you want into your life.

Capricorn is a very practical sign, so this is not necessarily about making bold, shocking moves in our lives (unless we feel called to do so), rather it is about making small yet effective shifts to get us closer to where we want to be.

For the last few years we have really had to focus on clearing and planning, but now we are getting a lot of support to actually put our plans into action.

January is one of the most action-focused months of the year, so use this energy to your advantage and don’t be afraid to push yourself a little higher.

New Moon’s are all about setting intentions and planting seeds for the future, so think about what you want to grow in your garden and give your wishes to the night sky.

There are such strong cosmic forces all through January and they are all on your side and there to support you.

Let the world know what you need, let the New Moon know what you need, and then open yourself to the guidance that follows.

Even though it doesn’t always feel like it, life is always on your side, you just have to learn to find the joy as you navigate the highs and lows of your very own mountain.”
