Happy New Moon!

“We’re at the dawning of something strange and transformative, and the new moon of March 24th is a powerful gateway through it.

The new moon will be in the area of the sky known as Uttara Bhadrapada, at the final degrees of watery Pisces – the last sign of the zodiac.  The stars in the constellation of Pisces are ancient symbols of the beginnings and endings of great cycles. Uttara Bhadrapada is associated with loss, death and fire, including the funeral pyre at the end of life.  This is a new moon that burns, but also calls forth the Piscean waters of rebirth.

The new moon falls just 4 days after the equinox, and is at a critical juncture that marks a whole new Vedic astrological cycle — the Vedic New year. We are now leaving behind the Year of Vikari, a word that literally translates as “Sick, ill, or diseased,” and entering the Year of Shavari, which translates as “twilight or night.”

Twilight is a mystical time, with deep spiritual potential, and this certainly is a transitional time between darkness and light. A pull toward the inner realm is growing in the year to come, especially for those who seek knowledge and self-understanding.

This new moon initiates the sacred waxing moon of Navaratri – the ‘nine nights of the Goddess’ celebrated in spring and fall.  In the waxing moon nights to come, nine different Hindu goddesses, all aspects of the divine feminine, are called on to heal and protect the world.
It’s said that whenever an overpowering force of negativity arises in the world, the goddess Durga is the one who stops it in its tracks.”

“The karmic drama unfolding across the world is The End of Everything That Never Worked Right in the First Place.
As old systems crumble, we must harvest magic out of chaos.
…The mimeograph of our time is the internet, last bastion of global freedom.
Even though corporate ownership is pushing for more control… and even though, now that Google has gone into the pharmaceutical business, alternative healing sites are dropping off their search algorithms, for the most part the web is still within public domain.
Which means we have the ability to spread news counter to corporate views…
Aquarius adds the telepathic communication of the real worldwide web of collective consciousness, announcing the great change rising from the soul of the world everywhere people get done with being puppets on a string.
To harvest magic from chaos we must join together in exposing distortions, speaking truth, untwisting corporate twists, and envisioning the real human being rising up out of a corrupt system.
Don’t buy into the lies. Don’t let yourself be talked out of claiming the magic of an evolving species that has a lot of love left inside.
Feel the change sweeping the soul and let it out in your own way.”

“The Pisces New Moon falls on February 23rd and beckons us to dive deep into the ocean of our soul. The magical harmony of the Pisces New Moon will guide us within, helping to open and unlock our intuition, our hidden depths, our creative potential, and our connection with the Divine.
The Pisces New Moon whispers to you- when you allow yourself to float in your own waters, you will discover the sea of potential that you are. Not all potential can be unlocked straight away, rather it is a slow process that ebbs and flows throughout the specially orchestrated timing of your life. Under the 2020 February New Moon, there are light vibrations that will help unlock more of your gifts, that is the things you were destined to bring and share with this world. Despite how insignificant you may feel compared to the Moon and the galaxies of stars around you, the truth is they are you, they shine only because you see them. It is your eyes gazing upon the night sky that makes it twinkle. Your power is you and your potential, endless.”

Full Moon by Alouk

“The February Full Moon falls on the 8th or 9th of the month, depending on your time zone. It rests in the sign of Leo, and its energy comes to tend to the fire that lives within our hearts.

It comes to clear away all that dims our light and separates us from feeling connected to our journey.

Leo is ruled by the Sun, so whenever we have a Full Moon in the sign of the Sun, it’s extra special.

When Leo holds space for the Full Moon, it’s like a ray of light shining down on all that feels dark and heavy in our lives.

Leo is a fire sign that reminds us to connect with all that lights us up. It reminds us to connect with our inner fire, with our inner Sun, and to remember that life is for experiencing rather than controlling.

What sets your soul on fire? What fans your inner flame? What brings you a sense of purpose as you move through the experiences of life?

There is something strengthening, motivating, and restorative about this Full Moon too, not just because it falls in the sign of Leo the lion, but also because it forms a harmonious alignment with the planet of motivation, Mars.

Mars will be like a motivational speaker at our side, championing us along as we take on any challenges or projects during this time.

Mars’ energy will help inspire us to push past any fears that are holding us back or keeping our inner light small.

Put yourself on the line, even if it makes you feel vulnerable, even if it’s scary, because that’s how you grow, that’s how you learn, that’s how you keep leveling up on your journey.”

Happy New Moon!

The new moon of Jan 24 (1:42 PM PT) marks an important cosmic turning point. Saturn, the planet of limitation and structure, is finally moving signs into Capricorn, where its grounding influence can help make long-term goals a reality. If you’ve been waiting to see results, this new moon heralds real progress.

Like Saturn, the new moon also falls in sidereal Capricorn, doubling the influence of this practical and determined sign. Specifically, this dark mid-winter moon falls in the Vedic nakshatra, or lunar mansion, known as Shravana. Sometimes called the ear of God, or the star of learningShravana magnifies the power to listen and communicate ideas. It also slows things down so you can better absorb knowledge and observe the world around you.

The Hindu goddess Saraswati—the mother of music, sound, and language—dwells in Shravana. Like the ancient river named for her, Saraswati births words and ideas that flow invisibly from our hearts and minds. Subtle messages from the spirit world can also be heard around this time, so listen closely.

Meanwhile, Saturn’s mission in Capricorn is to build a more solid and sustainable structure for the future. In Vedic Astrology, the sign of Capricorn is called Makara, which means crocodile. Crocodiles are tenacious survivors that take things slow and move with strength. With Saturn in Capricorn, you can work through challenges that may have previously seemed insurmountable, and take on new responsibilities in your work or home life.

Since the beginning of 2017, Saturn has been in the idealistic sign of Sagittarius, creating waves of disillusionment and casting a cynical eye on corruption, hypocrisy, and the unsustainable status quo. Since Saturn refuses to support blind faith in Sagittarius, you may have found yourself chasing your dreams in a sea of self-doubt, or wondering how to move forward. Now, with Saturn in Capricorn until January of 2023, you may find yourself capable of building what before you had only dreamed of.

This Shravana new moon marks a time of profound change. It represents nothing less than a paradigm shift, so be prepared to step into your power as never before.”

Happy Full Moon!

“The last full moon of 2019 will fall on Dec. 12 (12:12 a.m. ET). This is a prime time to envision new realms of possibility in matters of love and money, and to let your heart speak louder than your head. Followed by the winter solstice on Dec. 21, and a solar eclipse on Dec. 25, the Dec. 12 full moon heralds change, and possibly a new, more fulfilling phase of your life’s journey.

In Vedic astrology, this full moon falls in the area of the sky known as Mrigashira (Mriga means deer, and shira means head). Symbolized by the energy of a wild stag, Mrigashira is called the searching star, as it continuously seeks out what nourishes the heart and gives it a sense of belonging. As a deer seeks out its flock, this full moon desires meaningful connection with others.

In the Northern Hemisphere, winter is encroaching and daylight is dying away. The solstice is just around the corner, when the power of darkness reaches its annual climax. This bright full moon will shine through one of the longest nights of the year, illuminating the darkest corners of the psyche with piercing clarity and insight. Use this time to ask your heart what it truly wants, and don’t be surprised if the answer is different than what you’d thought.
On Christmas in the U.S (Dec. 25), a total solar eclipse will form as the liberating tail of the karmic snake, Ketu, shadows the sun, moon, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mercury. This will create a powerful pile-up of energy with tremendous momentum. Avoid political discussions and other contentious issues at holiday parties or family gatherings, as this formation could stir up some unnecessary conflict.

Eclipses are known to plant seeds that later bloom into breakthroughs, surprising outcomes, and even shocking events, especially in the weeks that surround them. Once you’ve tuned into your heart’s desires around the full moon, use the solar eclipse that follows it to surrender them to the universe. Intention-setting is key, but surrender is the final and critical step to manifesting your desires.

On this full moon, imagine where you’d like to be in 2020. Are you ready for a new relationship? Or a new professional challenge? How about more financial abundance? The wild stag energy of Mrigashira will stoke the fires of your heart, igniting its hidden desires. If you’re ready to lead with your heart, not your mind, you could find true fulfillment.”

New Moon - Edwin Howland Blashfield.jpg

“Falling on the 26th in the sign of Sagittarius, this is an abundant New Moon that brings opportunities to start over, to reach further, and to rework areas of our lives that have grown stale or become unwelcome.

Since the powerful and heavy October 27th New Moon last month, we have all been working hard to release and work through our fears. With Mercury in retrograde too, things from our past may have also paid us a visit or we may have had to confront something that challenged and pushed us.

Since this time, we have all been guided to reach deep and to rise into a new strength and a new power.

Whatever has come you have made it through, whatever has been is now in the past, and as we welcome the dark Sagittarius Moon, it is time for us to turn our attention to the next chapter.

The sign of Sagittarius is ruled by the Centaur aiming its arrow into the sky.

The Centaur is half-horse, half-man and is a natural healer. It holds a wisdom that it has inherited across many lifetimes and across many realms of the galaxy. This wisdom allows it to aim its arrow in the direction that always supports its highest growth.

Under the Sagittarius New Moon, we can all tap into this energy with ease. We can all tap into the intuitive wisdom that lives within and know the right way to direct our arrow.

While we may not have any control over where exactly our arrow will land, we do get to choose the direction we wish to send it in, and that choice is a power that we will all get to exercise as we begin this New Moon cycle.

Whatever comes our way, know that there is also protective energy on offer as well. While things may shake, the Sagittarius Moon sends protection and the opportunity to see the world from a new vantage point.

Load your bow and arrow and point it nice and high, for as the clichéd saying goes- aim for the Moon, because even if you miss, you will land among the stars.”
