“We must discover the power of love, the power, the redemptive power of love. And when we do that, we will make of this whole world a new world. But love, love is the only way.” ~Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
When I am among the trees, especially the willows and the honey locust, equally the beech, the oaks and the pines, they give off such hints of gladness. I would almost say that they save me, and daily. I am so distant from the hope of myself, in which I have goodness, and discernment, and never hurry through the world but walk slowly, and bow often. Around me the trees stir in their leaves and call out, “Stay awhile.” The light flows from their branches. And they call again, “It’s simple,” they say, “and you too have come into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled with light, and to shine.” ~Mary Oliver (1935-2019)

Happy New Moon and Solar Eclipse!
“If you thought life was about to go back to normal post-holidays, buckle your seatbelt, because the craziness isn’t over yet: There are a few major astrological events going down in January 2019.
The new moon in Capricorn on January 5, followed by a partial solar eclipse on January 6, will have a serious impact on your life, no matter your zodiac sign, according to Donna Page, a professional astrologer with a graduate degree in counseling psychology.
The new moon and solar eclipse in Capricorn are happening with the planet Saturn, which rules this zodiac sign. “That means it’s a time to make a plan or resolution in life and a powerful time to start something new,” Page says.
Basically, if you’ve been wanting to get a new job or to make something happen, now is the time. “There’s a very strong push that says you should go after things in life,” she says.
These astrological events might set off a chain reaction that will impact your actions for the rest of the month, and maybe the rest of 2019. And heads up: There’s also going to be a lunar eclipse on January 21 that will also make an impact.
Still, none of this is necessarily a bad thing. “This is all about love, connectedness, and letting people be themselves without judgement,” Page says.
Basically, you’re going to get out there and grab life by the balls this month, and do some serious emotional growth while you’re at it. Sounds like the New Year is going to get off to an awesome start.”
