Coffee for the less fortunate. What an awesome idea.

We enter a little coffeehouse with a friend of mine and give our order. While we’re aproaching our table two people come in and they go to the counter :
‘Five coffees, please. Two of them for us and three suspended’
They pay for their order, take the two and leave. I ask my friend:
‘What are those ‘suspended’ coffees ?’
‘Wait for it and you will see’
Some more people enter. Two girls ask for one coffee each, pay and go. The next order was for seven coffees and it was made by three lawyers – three for them and four ‘suspended’. While I still wonder what’s the deal with those ‘suspended’ coffees I enjoy the sunny weather and the beautiful view towards the square infront of the café. Suddenly a man dressed in shabby clothes who looks like a beggar comes in throught the door and kindly asks
‘Do you have a suspended coffee ?’
It’s simple – people pay in advance for a coffee meant for someone who can not afford a warm bevarage. The tradition with the suspended coffees started in Naples, but it has spread all over the world and in some places you can order not only a suspended coffee, but also a sandwich or a whole meal.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have such cafés or even grocery stores in every town where the less fortunate will find hope and support ?
If you own a business why don’t you offer it to your clients…I am sure many of them will like it 🙂

Drown yourself in a sea of knowledge and existence.

You are the books you read, the films you watch, the music you listen to, the people you meet, the dreams you have, the conversation you engage in. You are what you take from these. You are the sound of the ocean, the breath of fresh air, the brightest light and the darkest corner.
You are a collective of every experience you have had in your life. You are every single second of every single day. So drown yourself in a sea of knowledge and existence. Let the words run through your veins and let the colors fill your mind until there is nothing left to do but explode.
There are no wrong answers. Inspiration is everywhere. Sit back, relax, and take it all in.
Now go out and create something.

Idle No More is a movement founded by four women, Sylvia McAdam, Jess Gordon, Nina Wilson and Sheelah Mclean who decided they could no longer stay silent in the face of what they saw as a legislative attack on First Nation people and the lands and waters across Canada.
They built a movement of thousands – indigenous and non-indigenous people – in Canada and supporters around the world standing up to fight tar sands, deforestation, mining and other industrial development on First Nation lands.

Never underestimate the difference one dedicated person can make. Amazing.

A little over 30 years ago, a teenager named Jadav “Molai” Payeng began burying seeds along a barren sandbar near his birthplace in northern India’s Assam region to grow a refuge for wildlife. Not long after, he decided to dedicate his life to this endeavor, so he moved to the site where he could work full-time creating a lush new forest ecosystem. Incredibly, the spot today hosts a sprawling 1,360 acre of jungle that Payeng planted single-handedly.
The World is a kinder place when you’re kind.

Just read this great article about the small things we can do to make big differences in the lives of others. Take a moment to read it. You will be glad you did I promise.
We’ve all got to do our part in our own way. Don’t let thoughts of what you can’t do, stop you from doing what you can. Much love!!
