“Amazingly, some of us have retained passion. Some of us continue to be disciples of the things we love. We drag our addicted, programmed asses out of deeply-worn ruts. We walk against the grain and the odds, turn away from apathy and accumulation, and stand for something. It may not look like much while you’re doing it. You may feel crazy. You may experience terrifying loneliness. But it should help to remember that you are one of a gentle multitude living “out there” on the lunatic fringe, letting your life be galvanized by the irrational, doing your tiny giant part to restore meaning by giving your gifts to the world. And for that, I thank you.” ~ Dreamwork with Toko-pa

So moving. A farmer has a change of heart and releases 752 hens from their cramped little cages. Watch these hens experience sunshine and the ability to roam for the first time. All animals deserve loving, healthy environments to live in. So happy for these hens!
“I’ve had rainbows in my clouds, and the thing to do it seems to me… Is to prepare yourself so that you can be a rainbow in somebody else’s cloud.” ~Maya Angelou

“Capitalism has destroyed our belief in any effective power but that of self interest backed by force.” ~George Bernard Shaw

“My primary relationship is with myself- all others are mirrors of it. As I learn to love myself, I automatically receive the love and appreciation that I desire from others. If I am committed to myself and to living my truth, I will attract others with equal commitment. My willingness to be intimate with my own deep feelings creates the space for intimacy with another. As I learn to love myself, I receive the love I desire from others.” ~Shakti Gawain

“By having a reverence for life, we enter into a spiritual relation with the world. By practicing reverence for life we become good, deep, and alive.” ~Albert Schweitzer
