“Wolves and Women have much in common. Both share a wild spirit. Women and Wolves are instinctual creatures, able to sense the unseen. They are loyal, protective of their packs and of their pups. They are wild and beautiful. Both have been hunted and captured. Even in captivity, one can see in the eyes of a Woman, or a Wolf, the longing to run free, and the determination that should the opportunity arise, Whoosh, they will be gone…..” ~ CLARISSA PINKOLA ESTÉS, [WOMEN WHO RUN WITH THE WOLVES].

When I am among the trees, especially the willows and the honey locust, equally the beech, the oaks and the pines, they give off such hints of gladness. I would almost say that they save me, and daily. I am so distant from the hope of myself, in which I have goodness, and discernment, and never hurry through the world but walk slowly, and bow often. Around me the trees stir in their leaves and call out, “Stay awhile.” The light flows from their branches. And they call again, “It’s simple,” they say, “and you too have come into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled with light, and to shine.” ~Mary Oliver (1935-2019)

Happy New Moon and Solar Eclipse!

“If you thought life was about to go back to normal post-holidays, buckle your seatbelt, because the craziness isn’t over yet: There are a few major astrological events going down in January 2019.

The new moon in Capricorn on January 5, followed by a partial solar eclipse on January 6, will have a serious impact on your life, no matter your zodiac sign, according to Donna Page, a professional astrologer with a graduate degree in counseling psychology.

The new moon and solar eclipse in Capricorn are happening with the planet Saturn, which rules this zodiac sign. “That means it’s a time to make a plan or resolution in life and a powerful time to start something new,” Page says.

Basically, if you’ve been wanting to get a new job or to make something happen, now is the time. “There’s a very strong push that says you should go after things in life,” she says.

These astrological events might set off a chain reaction that will impact your actions for the rest of the month, and maybe the rest of 2019. And heads up: There’s also going to be a lunar eclipse on January 21 that will also make an impact.

Still, none of this is necessarily a bad thing. “This is all about love, connectedness, and letting people be themselves without judgement,” Page says.

Basically, you’re going to get out there and grab life by the balls this month, and do some serious emotional growth while you’re at it. Sounds like the New Year is going to get off to an awesome start.”

“I believe we have more than enough creativity to solve the problems of our times, but we have to make a perilous trek into the wilderness within to reclaim it. There is a stand of undeveloped jungle, a place of “indigeneity” within each of us, that can never be domesticated. It is a borderless land, beyond personality and convention, even beyond thought, where pure creativity arises. Like the signature song of a tropical bird, the spiraling of an arbutus tree, the evening scent of a jasmine bush, there is an essence in each of us intended to be expressed. Few make the trek into this creative wild, because the path requires great vulnerability. To come into our true originality, we must surrender the layers of numbness we use to protect our hearts.” ~Toko-pa Turner

Happy New Moon!

New Moon Aimee Marie

“2018 has been a year of patience. It has been a year of strong inner growth and a time to really reflect on the direction of our lives.
Falling in the sign of Sagittarius, this New Moon is going to help shine a light on all the growing we have done, and will help us to see just how far we have traveled.

For most of 2018, we had this slower energy coursing through the months that may have left us feeling held back, restricted, or unsure of how to move forward. We may have had ideas or plans, but we may have found it hard to execute them to the fullest of our potential.

2018 was really a year for inner growth, which is why we may not have traveled as far as we would have liked to in a physical sense. On an inner level however, it is likely we have moved leaps and bounds, and made huge progress when it comes to our spiritual and emotional development.

Under the lunar vibes of this Dark Moon, we are going to see just how far we have traveled, and who we have now become. We are going to get a glimpse of just how much we have grown and achieved throughout the year.

2018 was a year of growth, and in some monumental way, something inside you shifted. Something inside you has blossomed, and you are about to find out what that is.

All you need to do is use the energies of the December New Moon to open your eyes, your mind, and your heart, and travel within so you can witness what is now in bloom.

You are blooming, you have done the work. The time has come now to rest, enjoy, and seek adventure as we enter into the holiday season.

Try not to focus on all the things that you should or shouldn’t have done, and instead focus on how far you have come. 2018 was a challenging year, but you made it and you are stronger now because of it.

Celebrate how far you have come. Celebrate all you have achieved. Be proud of yourself, for here you are still standing, still glowing, still interested in becoming the best you can be. And this is always worth celebrating.”
