“The first person you have to resurrect is yourself.” ~ RZA, The Tao of Wu

We give thanks for all those who are moved, in their lives, to heal and protect the earth, in small ways and in large. Blessings on the composters, the gardeners, the breeders of worms and mushrooms, the soil-builders, those who cleanse the waters and purify the air, all those who clean up the messes others have made. Blessings on those who defend trees and who plant trees, who guard the forests and who renew the forests. Blessings on those who learn to heal the grasslands and renew the streams, on those who prevent erosion, who restore the salmon and the fisheries, who guard the healing herbs and who know the lore of the wild plants. Blessings on those who heal the cities and bring them alive again with excitement and creativity and love. Gratitude and blessings to all who stand against greed, who risk themselves, to those who have bled and been wounded, and to those who have given their lives in service of the earth. May all the healers of the earth find their own healing. May they be fueled by passionate love for the earth. May they know their fear but not be stopped by fear. May they feel their anger and yet not be ruled by rage. May they honor their grief but not be paralyzed by sorrow. May they transform fear, rage, and grief into compassion and the inspiration to act in service of what they love. May they find the help, the resources, the courage, the luck, the strength, the love, the health, the joy that they need to do the work. May they be in the right place, at the right time, in the right way. May they bring alive a great awakening, open a listening ear to hear the earth’s voice, transform imbalance to balance, hate and greed to love. Blessed be the healers of the earth. ~Starhawk

“You, Beloved Soul, are made of light. The moment you were born the angels cheered as your beautiful soul came into this world. You came into this life to be a vessel of great love. It is not important that you achieve perfection or greatness. Rather, allow your spirit to dance with sweet inspiration and goodness. Whenever possible, sow seeds of kindness, love and encouragement into the world. Help other souls to blossom awake to their own gifts and abilities. And shine love. That is to truly live.” ~Laurel Bleadon-Maffei, Illuminating Souls

“This country assumes that if someone is poor, they are poor because of their own individual blight, or because they weren’t born on the right side of town, or they had too many children, or went in the army too early, or because their father was a drunk, or they didn’t care about school–they made a mistake. That’s a lot of nonsense. Poverty is well calculated in this country, and the reason why the poverty program won’t work is because the calculators of poverty are administering it.” ~ Stokely Carmichael (1966)

We are weaving a new way, Stitching revolutions together, Spinning new worlds from our Wombs, Dreaming back the wild edges of our Souls, Calling forth that what has been lost. We are women of the Womb, Maddened by love into action, We are men of the heart, Softened into surrender, Afraid only of not feeling. We are thinking in a web, Your thread holds mine together. We are taleweavers and troubadours, Telling the words that were broken, Singing the songs of longing. We are weaving a new way, Using the thread of pain, Spinning it back into gold. ~ Seren Swannesha Bertrand

“It doesn’t change when we stare at it from across the room. It doesn’t change when we sit in prayer and imagine good things. It doesn’t change when we skirt the edges of the shadow. It changes when we cross the sacred battleground willing to die to our truth. It changes when we look the lie in the eye until it has nowhere left to hide. It changes when we pick up the sword of transformation and cut the falsity until it bleeds. The era of the sacred activist is upon us. Not the warrior run amok, but the benevolent warrior who fights for our right to the light. Not the whining complaining warrior, but the one who actually takes action. Some wars are worth fighting.” ~Jeff Brown

“And the turtles, of course…all the turtles are free, as turtles and, maybe, all creatures should be.” ~ Dr. Seuss

“Take time together, to look at the obstacles, the fear, the pervasive places in your consciousness where yet you believe that a patriarchal consciousness is ‘still’ your authority and is ‘still’ the authority of the world. Look not to see who sits in the seats of your government. Remember the power is not out there unless you give it away.” ~The Jeshua Transcripts: The Divine Feminine

“I love humanity and have so much faith that we will co-create a world that reflects our heartfelt magnificence. Despite our blind spots, growing pains and harsh lessons, we are love. All else, disguises. I know it looks bleak sometimes, but we are an unstoppable force of (good) nature that cannot be stopped. We have many more challenges to come, but we are going to find our way through them. We just are. Our spirits are just so beautiful. We won’t rest until all the shrouds fall away, and we are exposed as the heart beings that we are. Such love, such love…” ~Jeff Brown
