Happy New Moon and Solar Eclipse!

“If you thought life was about to go back to normal post-holidays, buckle your seatbelt, because the craziness isn’t over yet: There are a few major astrological events going down in January 2019.

The new moon in Capricorn on January 5, followed by a partial solar eclipse on January 6, will have a serious impact on your life, no matter your zodiac sign, according to Donna Page, a professional astrologer with a graduate degree in counseling psychology.

The new moon and solar eclipse in Capricorn are happening with the planet Saturn, which rules this zodiac sign. “That means it’s a time to make a plan or resolution in life and a powerful time to start something new,” Page says.

Basically, if you’ve been wanting to get a new job or to make something happen, now is the time. “There’s a very strong push that says you should go after things in life,” she says.

These astrological events might set off a chain reaction that will impact your actions for the rest of the month, and maybe the rest of 2019. And heads up: There’s also going to be a lunar eclipse on January 21 that will also make an impact.

Still, none of this is necessarily a bad thing. “This is all about love, connectedness, and letting people be themselves without judgement,” Page says.

Basically, you’re going to get out there and grab life by the balls this month, and do some serious emotional growth while you’re at it. Sounds like the New Year is going to get off to an awesome start.”

“I believe we have more than enough creativity to solve the problems of our times, but we have to make a perilous trek into the wilderness within to reclaim it. There is a stand of undeveloped jungle, a place of “indigeneity” within each of us, that can never be domesticated. It is a borderless land, beyond personality and convention, even beyond thought, where pure creativity arises. Like the signature song of a tropical bird, the spiraling of an arbutus tree, the evening scent of a jasmine bush, there is an essence in each of us intended to be expressed. Few make the trek into this creative wild, because the path requires great vulnerability. To come into our true originality, we must surrender the layers of numbness we use to protect our hearts.” ~Toko-pa Turner

“2018 has been a year of patience. It has been a year of strong inner growth and a time to really reflect on the direction of our lives.
Falling in the sign of Sagittarius, this New Moon is going to help shine a light on all the growing we have done, and will help us to see just how far we have traveled.

For most of 2018, we had this slower energy coursing through the months that may have left us feeling held back, restricted, or unsure of how to move forward. We may have had ideas or plans, but we may have found it hard to execute them to the fullest of our potential.

2018 was really a year for inner growth, which is why we may not have traveled as far as we would have liked to in a physical sense. On an inner level however, it is likely we have moved leaps and bounds, and made huge progress when it comes to our spiritual and emotional development.

Under the lunar vibes of this Dark Moon, we are going to see just how far we have traveled, and who we have now become. We are going to get a glimpse of just how much we have grown and achieved throughout the year.

2018 was a year of growth, and in some monumental way, something inside you shifted. Something inside you has blossomed, and you are about to find out what that is.

All you need to do is use the energies of the December New Moon to open your eyes, your mind, and your heart, and travel within so you can witness what is now in bloom.

You are blooming, you have done the work. The time has come now to rest, enjoy, and seek adventure as we enter into the holiday season.

Try not to focus on all the things that you should or shouldn’t have done, and instead focus on how far you have come. 2018 was a challenging year, but you made it and you are stronger now because of it.

Celebrate how far you have come. Celebrate all you have achieved. Be proud of yourself, for here you are still standing, still glowing, still interested in becoming the best you can be. And this is always worth celebrating.”

“I thought the earth remembered me, she took me back so tenderly, arranging her dark skirts, her pockets full of lichens and seeds. I slept as never before, a stone on the riverbed, nothing between me and the white fire of the stars but my thoughts, and they floated light as moths among the branches of the perfect trees. All night I heard the small kingdoms breathing around me, the insects, and the birds who do their work in the darkness. All night I rose and fell, as if in water, grappling with a luminous doom. By morning I had vanished at least a dozen times into something better.” ~Mary Oliver

Happy almost Full Moon!

Moon art by Ana Rasha

“November has brought many planetary shifts and changes. While all these shifts and changes are fruitful and are getting us ready for an action-packed 2019, we may have been feeling a little tense or a little uneasy about what’s ahead. We may be feeling change in the air, but we may not be sure how this change is exactly going to manifest.

2018 has definitely been a year for upgrading ourselves and for peeling back the layers so we can step into a higher consciousness and a higher level of awakening. It has been a stop-and-go type year where we have really been challenged to question and pause before moving ahead.

All of this energy is now coming to a head as we wrap up the end of the year, and we may be feeling a sense of renewal or rebirth creeping in. We may be feeling the merits of our hard work finally paying off.

The Universe will also bring more clarity our way with the November Full Moon on the 22nd-23rd in the sign of Gemini.

This Full Moon is going to help bring some clarity to the direction of our lives and will help us to understand a newfound truth about what direction we should be heading in.

The Gemini Full Moon of November falls at zero degrees Gemini. In numerology, zero represents all possibilities and infinite creative potential. It is the point before the beginning and represents the creative process we take before the idea comes to us.

Zero is the blank canvas before we have decided what it will be, and this is the energy that November’s Full Moon will encompass. In many ways, this Full Moon represents the potential of who we have become and what possibilities lay before us as we wrap up this year and prepare to start a new one.

There is strong illumination energy around this Full Moon too, and it’s likely some new truths are going to come to the surface. These truths may be painful, or they may be hard to swallow at first, but it is necessary for them to be revealed to us now.

There may be challenges that arise with this as there are some tense and harsh aspects around this Full Moon, but if you trust what unfolds and keep steady in your heart, you will be guided forward.

November’s Full Moon is all about illumination and coming into a newfound sense of self. It is a powerful Full Moon that will help us to wrap up where we have been and to see a new potential before us.

We have been sailing rough seas, but now we see what is beneath us, the colors of the fish, the beautiful shapes of the coral. We see the truth, and we are no longer afraid. This new clarity that has been gifted to us allows us to move forward with strength, with courage, and with a new truth in our hearts.

We have been working hard, but now we see, now we know, and with this, all potential and new possibilities open up to us.”

Happy New Moon!

New Moon ~ Aimee Marie

“The sensitive Scorpio New Moon falls on November 7-8th and is going to help you tune into the wisdom and love that resides inside your heart and soul.

Healing the heart has definitely been a theme in the cosmos for these last few weeks due to Venus Retrograde. This energy has really been highlighting cracks and weak points in our relationships and bringing wounds of the heart to our attention so we can heal and transcend them.

Forgiveness is also a huge theme around this New Moon as well. If we think back to October, there was a lot of harsh energy brewing, especially around the Taurus Full Moon. Things may have been stirred at this time where you felt the need to lash out or act from a place of anger or ego.

Forgiveness is one of the most powerful healing tools we can offer ourselves and the world, and is the only way we can let go and transcend a situation.

Scorpio energy is all about transformation and moving to that next level, and under the vibration of this New Moon, we can use the power of forgiveness to hoist ourselves to that next level.

On this Scorpio New Moon, we are going to be given the opportunity to delve into our hearts in order to bring healing. We are going to be given the opportunity to soften any harshness and focus on finding forgiveness.

This New Moon is sensitive, it is compassionate, and it is also very romantic. You can use this energy to mend wounds in your relationships, to explore your creative gifts, and to set intentions from the heart.

Our hearts are going to be close to us around this New Moon, and we are going to be able to tap into them with greater ease. This is really a gift that we can all use, so make it a point to feel into the incredible love that is inside of you.

You are love. It is the very essence of who you are, and the more you allow it, the more you feel it, the easier it will be for you to be an expression of it.”
