“This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. Being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it what I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.” ~George Bernard Shaw

“This is a society, a world, a planet dying because there is not enough consciousness, because there is not enough awareness, enough coordination of intent-to-problem. And yet, we spend vast amounts of money stigmatizing people and substances that are part of this effort to expand consciousness, see things in different ways, unleash creativity. Isn’t it perfectly clear that business as usual is a bullet through the head?” ~ Terence McKenna

“But now the Goddess is returning, she is making her way up, and people without eyes to see will be completely in the dark about the journey of women all around them. As the Goddess begins to make her claim on them, there will be more, rather than fewer, girls who appear to make no sense. The Goddess makes a dramatic entry. When a system is flooded with new and radical impressions, it seems to implode before making a quantum leap forward into something different. Thus there are millions of girls who are depressed to a degree beyond what their families and friends find normal, but who are actually undergoing the feminine journey into full and actualized consciousness. One day they will be Queens, and the transition wouldn’t have happened had they not cracked up when they did.” ~Marianne Williamson

“The real hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear to be most normal. “Many of them are normal because they are so well adjusted to our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in their lives, that they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the neurotic does.” They are normal not in what may be called the absolute sense of the word; they are normal only in relation to a profoundly abnormal society. Their perfect adjustment to that abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickness. These millions of abnormally normal people, living without fuss in a society to which, if they were fully human beings, they ought not to be adjusted.” ~ Aldous Huxley

This powerful new tactic used by protesters in Ukraine forces the opposition to reflect on their actions. On Dec. 30 at noon, protesters in Kiev held mirrors up at police officers for a full 30 minutes, to commemorate the night of Nov. 30 when riot police used excessive force to break up a peaceful rally on Independence Square. The mirrors seemed to say, “Look at what you have become.” Protestors held posters that read, “Who and what are you protecting?”
